Harvest a bunch of green onions, buy a store-bought variety, or buy fresh onions farmer’s market. Make sure you pick ones that are nice, green, and all and have a good structure to them.
You do not want any soggy green, or brown-looking greens onions right off the bat, especially if you’re going to preserve them.
